Tell Nebraska City’s Stories Through Public Art

The Nebraska City Creative District is seeking artists for eight commissioned pieces, each inspired by one of eight stories that have shaped Nebraska City, Nebraska.

The installations will become part of Where the Trees Meet the River: The Nebraska City Art & Heritage Trail – a new walkable public art and storytelling experience connecting Nebraska City’s historic downtown Creative District with cultural destinations throughout the community.

Through public art, interpretive storytelling, and Nebraska City’s existing trail and sidewalk network, the project will bring together art, history, nature, and place, inviting residents and visitors to experience Nebraska City in a new way.
